(Its Called the VRE Handbook) So how did I take a site from 0-450 visitors per day (on the weekend mind you, much slower) and earning over $5 per day in adsense alone AND on the first page of msn for its main keywords in less then 3 weeks.
The first step that I take when looking at building a new site is the keyword research, and topic research. There are many ways you can go about doing this. Using either the digial point forum free keyword tool, or alternatively you could use the yahoo keyword tool also.
Once there, start running your list ideas through the keyword tool and look for something which has a decent traffic count in overture. (I choose overture as an example because it is widely recognized). I usually target niches with 80,000 upward searches per month for the main keyword. This way you are bound to be able to drive some good traffic to your site.
The recent site I picked had 1,000,000 searches per month.
Then I would plug in some of the top sites into SeoElite or your favorite SEO tool and find out how much seo the main sites are doing and how hard or easy it is going to be to beat them.
Next thing I do is research affiliate products and check out some other sites on the topic to see adsense ads available for that keyword. And put in a keyword, it will show you the ads being displayed for that keyword.
Now that we have the basics to one site, presuming you have a nice traffic count. Some profitable affiliate programs and adsense is showing for those keywords. We are ready to rock and roll.
Next thing to do is obviously register your domain and set up your hosting. I personally use HostGator for my domain hosting needs, they are great.
I would then go over to elance and post a project on 30 articles for my topic (I supply the keyword list), usually between 400-500 words of decent quality. You can expect to pay between $3 and $5 per article. Once you find a good copywriter stick with them it will make your life much easier.
Alternative you could also use Rentacoder for outsourcing.
Next thing on the agenda would be to set up the actual site. I will usually do this whilst waiting for my articles to arrive.
I use either Wordpress or plain old html for all my content sites, but sometimes use dreamweaver if I want something a little more powerful. Just depends on your needs and what you have at hand. For site templates I use free ones from www.oswd.org and customize them to what I need.
I usually build my own simple graphics in Photoshop. But I am now looking at some warriors to see if I can get headers done for my sites (ps if you are a graphic designer and are interested in work. PM me) Once you get your articles back. Start adding them into your site. Each article on an individual page.
Be sure to take note of the most important parts of on-page optimization.
Example when you are adding in your articles. I use main keywords for that article in the file name. (Though this is not so important).
Then also develop an individual page title for each article around the article keyword. Include a title inside the page using H1 tags (tip for young players. Use css coding to make your h1 tags look much prettier and not so out there)
Also add in any adsense or affiliate adverts you need to, into your content.
When adding adsense, the best place to put it is high on your website above "the fold" or above the middle of the page. So a Banner ad up the very top.
Then a large rectangle further down he page. Seems to do best
And then follow basic common sense with your keyword density. Usually the articles are fine; they contain just the right balance in keyword density. Also when linking your article into the site. Link using the main keywords of the article (providing it makes sense). This will help with building your internal linking popularity.
So by now we should have the basics of our site set up. This is where we would move onto our off-page optimization.
Off-Page Optimization
From the second step you should know exactly what your opponent is doing in terms of off page optimization, and this is like giving you an insider’s look into their marketing.
Write an article on your topic to kick start things. If you are not a writer, then grab a few articles your copywriter wrote for you, and mix them together so they flow, make sense and provide something of interest.
Submit the article using your preferred method. This could be Isnare, Article Marketer, article announcer and article submitter pro.
Be sure that when you build your article to include your URL in the author’s bio and where you can, turn it into a link with the anchor text being the main keyword of your site.
You should also determine what the main keywords for your site will be, that we will target. SEO wise you probably shouldn’t target more then 4 - 6 keywords for your main page. Remember, every page has its own chance of ranking well in the search engines.
So I would break my keywords down into 2 main keywords and 2 sub keywords.
Example for dog training would be

2 sub
Puppy training
Dog toilet training
By submitting articles you will already be starting to build some back links into your site and probably be getting your site crawled already.
The next step would be to start a linking campaign. There are many ways to do this; some people don’t even do it. Some people don’t like it some do. There’s only one small thing I have to say on it. IT WORKS
If you wish to start a reciprocal linking strategy. Then I personally use http://www.linkmetro.com (Brad Callen's) for all my linking purposes. There are others around but I have found this to be one of the easiest. Plus you get a free reciprocal directory script, which is a bonus if you don’t have one or have never done it before.
Depending on how big your niche is, you can also purchase advertising space (aka text links) from sites to help.
I have used both before and both seem to offer a pretty good service.
Super-Tip
When buying links, be sure to run the site that you decide to go with, through seoelite or some other back link analysis tool. The interns will have the opportunity to work hands-on in both the administrative and production functions that are assigned to them. Those who will be selected for the program will get a stipend of $4,000.
Application Process:
The screening committee will only accept only one application per student that they can make via online (www.emmy’s.org). Applicants shall choose only one category among the 29 that are listed for the internship. The applicants are required to submit the following:
Cover Page --- indicating the name, permanent address and phone number, name of college or university attended, address of the school or university attended, major/minor taken and the last GPA, name of the category chosen.
Professional Statement--- the applicant shall submit a statement of not less than 300 words the objective of the applications and the reason for choosing such category including but not limited to the roles that will performed in the that category.
Resume--- applicant should submit the most recent one.
Letters of recommendation--- the students shall secure two letters of recommendation which will addressed to the Internship Committee. One of the letters must come from the academe.

The Fred Rogers memorial Scholarship
In honor of Fred Rogers’ valuable contribution to children’s television, the Academy for Television in cooperation with their generous sponsor, Earnst and Young LLP is giving away scholarship grants amounting to $10,000 each for 2 qualified applicants.
The grants is primarily conceptualized to support the aspiring brilliant students to endeavor on the production of children’s program fro TV with the aim to integrate values and the principles that Mr. Rogers espoused.

University Film and Video Foundation/ Eastman Scholarship Program
UFVF is a non-profit organization, which helps budding individuals in realizing their dream of becoming a filmmaker. The organization is the training ground of the Kodak Student Filmmaker Program grantees.
The organization provides the necessary skills for the students through hands-on exposure while Kodak provides the funding. With the aim to take care of young blood professionals who will continue to provide the society quality films in the future Kodak has allotted $ 5,000 for the tuition of a film education.
Applicants must be a university or college students who are currently taking up a degree in film, cinematography, and video production for both in the undergraduate and graduate levels. Their college or university nominates the applicants. The students must be coming from Canada or the US.
Institute for Humane Studies,GeorgeMasonUniversity
The Institute for Humane Studies is offering Film And Fiction Scholarship worth $10,000 for each grantee fro tuition and stipend. The student should be taking up a Masters of Fine Arts with concentration either in Film, Fiction Writing or Playwriting.

Here are some some things I do with my PLR articles if I don't want to build a new site or blog for them but I do not want my PLR packs to go to waste when I receive them from one of the PLR membership sites I am signed up to.
* Summarize the articles and use them on Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo and Wetpaint. Open the article in Microsoft Word and go to Tools, Auto-summarize. On the option screen select "create a new document and put the summary there" and then select "summarize 50% of the document." Click go and you have a document with hopefully the major points included and all the filler removed. Read the article and add some of your own unique filler in between the major points. Do this every other day and post it to a Squidoo or similar site and use the page for link juice to one of your main sites. The whole process takes 5 minutes to do but will create a valuable link tool for you.
*Create a free resource to attract sign ups. By making a few changes though, they will find their blogs and sites perform much better than they do with the articles left untouched. Even changing around 30% of a PLR article will be enough to avoid the duplicate content penalty.
I'm going to show you how you can rewrite PLR articles at a rate that means you have no excuses not to do it. I'll also explain how I plan out the rewriting work and set out my schedule.
The first thing you will want to do is download my free software that will help increase the speed of rewriting PLR articles. The software is very simple to use and more or less self explanatory. Click on open and browse to your PLR article to open it so it is in the window on the right. You can then read the intro and write a new version in the top box on the left. Repeat with the body and the summary of the article and you are done. It is a lot quicker and easier than having 2 notepad files open at the same time.
If you manage a lot of sites and blogs, even with the speed you will gain by using your software to rewrite PLR articles, you won't want to be completely rewriting every article in a PLR article pack. In a pack of 40 I usually pick out 5 or so that will be my money earners and completely rewrite these by changing the intro, body and summary. With the other articles I paraphrase the intro and summary and then scan the body, changing the odd word or sentence. These will take you no longer than 10 minutes to start with but 5 minutes will be loads of time to rewrite PLR articles once you have been doing them a while and if the original quality is good.
You might think spending most of a day to rewrite PLR articles isn't time well spent but 40 articles only altered around 25% will have a much greater chance of getting listed and ranked in the search engines than 40 articles that are already on 50 other sites and blogs.

A money making blog was the last thing the original lot of bloggers were thinking about but make it they did. Nowadays we are told by the so called "guru's" that for a money making blog to be successful you would need to find an empty slot, or to use the marketing term "a niche." The idea seems to be you have to find a subject that has little competition and then dominate the competition by being the best and most prolific blog writer on your chosen subject. There are several new blogs created every single second, that's 100's of blogs a minute, 24 hours a day, 7 days week! Finding a niche with little competition, unless it is a brand new subject, is going to be near on impossible.
Quality has a habit of rising to the top and speaking from experience, I find my best performing blogs that are in congested niches are the ones that bring out my passion and that I have a good understanding about the subject. This gets visitors interacting by commenting and other web 2.0 activities such as bookmarking. These are all seen as votes for your blog and people interact only when they find a blog of quality.
A couple of $10 a day blogs is easily achievable and that equates to over $7K a year which isn't bad money for doing a couple of posts every day. Of course, as your blog grows and ages, so will your income from that blog and in time your traffic may reach a level where you can sell advertising. Keep your blog ticking over and you will reap the benefits in the future.
If you set up a garden landscaping business would you buy a shovel and spade, wheelbarrow, van? Would you pay to be in the local paper and phone book so potential customers could find you and use your business? Obviously you would because if you didn't you would not survive as a company for very long. So why is it people wanting to make a living on the internet try and do it without spending anything on their online business? There seems to be this idea that "if I do the work myself, it must be free." What about the time you spent doing that work though? How much is your time worth when you are working for a living online?
